  • Fried Fish Eaten Alive! Sick!

The Chinese truly disturb me sometimes.

For the Love of Pete, Mao, at least kill the damn thing before you burn it alive and peel the flesh from its bones. Just because you don't hear the traditional "AHHHHH!!!!! KILL ME PLEASE!" coming from its mouth doesn't mean that it doesn't feel pain.

  • Maybe....

Maybe I just need to do something fundamentally drastic.

"Desperation is the raw material of drastic change. Only those who can leave behind everything they have ever believed in can hope to escape." - William S. Burroughs

  • UPS vs. FEDEX: Ultimate Whiteboard Remix

As a Teamster, I am a defacto fascist who helps bankrupt a really fine company (UPS). Which is a terrible thing really.

The Teamsters tell me to vote Democrat and, recently, UPS and the Teamsters teamed up to initiate a massive lobbying campaign against FedEx. They asked me to spend about 25 minutes of my night writing out two letters to my Federal Representatives (the letters were screened for approval) which would have attacked the cost of doing business for FedEx.

I declined and told my steward that I thought the act was despicable and unethical.

Everyone I know wrote the letters not because they cared, but because they got paid to sit in an air conditioned room.

  • Major Nidal Malik Hasan - Hero? Villain?

As I am sure you're well aware, Major Hasan had a Major Meltdown today and efficiently shot and killed 12 people while wounding 30 others. He even got shot 4 times while doing it and lived!

One wonders whether Navigatio, one of my favorites on the blogosphere was stationed at Ft. Hood. If so, I do hope he was not one of the one's shot.

Whatever this was about, the Army fell victim to its own device of murder and bloodshed. I wonder about the people he shot and think that if he did not do it, how many other innocents would these people have murdered on their tours of "duty"? The answer is probably a lot more than who died today.

Shall we then be sorrowful and mourn these dead? Or shall we rejoice in lives saved? Is the glass half empty or half full? Whose life means more to me, these Americans in the business of death, or those repulsing American imperialism?

I submit neither and prefer to shake my head in disgust at the whole thing. Nonsense. Pure and utter nonsense.

  • I Cannot Work With Some People

Here is a conversation I had with a guy at work:

Me: "Hey buddy, can you step out of your tug for a minute and help us pull these off? We're understaffed." [Now most folks would have been polite enough to do this]
    Guy: *WTFOMG Face*
    Guy: "Uhhh, Why?"
Me: *You have to be kidding me*
    Me: "Do you speak English?"
    Guy: "Yes."
Me: "Then you must be a freaking idiot now get your lazy ass out of your tug and help us."

Then I had to work with two Negroes who were replacements for my two missing co-workers.

With the exception of rare individuals, I no longer hold blacks who are 35 years old or younger to be respectable in the least. And these two proved to me yet again that you just cannot rely on them to do even the most basic of tasks. If you want something done, then you gotta do it yourself and so I did. All night. It was irritating and tiring. Sure racial boundaries can be transcended on this point, but the negro archetype is well established and my assumptions were yet again confirmed. Young Jeezy, anyone?
